Getting a haircut can be stressful. You don’t know what to ask for, whats going to look good once you leave the chair?
At Buddy’s Barbershop in Carlton we cut across the full range of styles you can expect to see in a barbershop.
From sharp skin fades and clean tapers through to mullets, mid length and longer styles. We focus on haircuts that grow out well and suit the person wearing them.
What do we offer?
A 30 minute haircut with one of our experienced barbers. If its long hair, short hair, a skin fade, burst fade or somewhere in between. We got you.
Fade & Beard
The classic combo. Skin fade or mid fade up top, beard shaped and lined to match. Clean, sharp, no messing about.
Mullets
Mullets are back, baby! We’re churning them out. From subtle modern mullets to full send versions, it’s always about balance: party in the back, business in the front.
Mid Length & Longer Styles
Don’t worry we didn’t forget about ya. Not every haircut needs to be short. We cut plenty of mid length and longer styles as well, shaping the hair so it sits nice and proper without losing the length people want to keep. Just let us know how much you want to lose and we can stick tight.
Anything Else??
Don’t worry. If there’s something outside the styles above, we’ve probably got you covered as well. Most people walk in with a rough idea, not a perfectly planned haircut. Have a chat with your barber and we’ll figure out what works.

Book or Walk In
Book online through Vagaro and skip the wait, or just rock up. Walk ins are always welcome, but a booking guarantees your spot. We’ll sort you out either way.
What to Expect
A proper consultation before we touch a hair. Tell us what you’re after, show us a pic, or just ask our barbers what they reckon would suit you. Cold beer while you wait, good tunes, and zero pretension.
Getting to Buddy’s
We’re in Carlton, right near Melbourne Uni, RMIT, and the Royal Melbourne Hospital. If you know Good Measure coffee shop or Standing Room Carlton, you’re practically here.
Parking
Big concrete multi storey car park directly across the road. Can’t miss it. Plenty of on street parking around the area too, just keep an eye on the signs.
Public Transport
Tram routes 1, 6, and 8 all run down Swanston Street and through Carlton, dropping you pretty much at our door. If you’re coming by train, Melbourne Central or Parliament stations are a short walk or one tram stop away.
